NATIONAL HOLIDAYS:
1. LA HO-IHO-I EA on July 31st
Celebrates the Return of the Sovereignty of the Hawaiian Islands as a Country, originated in 1843; and
2. LA KU-OKO-A on November 28th
Celebrates the Independence of the Hawaiian Islands as a Country and entry into the Family of Nations of Fully Sovereign Independent, recognized world countries also originated in 1843.

NATIONAL CURRENCY:

Silver coins of the United States shall be a legal tender at their nominal value in payment for all debts within this Kingdom. Gold coins of the United States of America shall be the standard and a legal tender in this Kingdom in payment for all debts for any amount exceeding fifty dollars.


A WORD ABOUT "KINGDOMS" IN HAWAII:
By 1810 King Kamehameha I united the islands of Hawaii under one leadership. What this refers to is that there were four Kingdoms that became one in the political sense. These Kingdoms were named after the island king that each represented. One can find examples of their reference in mele. The Kingdoms consisted of the following:

1. KINGDOM OF HAWAII: Island of Hawaii; Other references: Moku o Keawe, Moku Pele, Moku Nui
2. KINGDOM OF MAUI: Island of Maui; Other references: Moku o Kamalalawalu; Na Hono a'o Piilani
3. KINGDOM OF OAHU: Island of Oahu; Other references: Moku o Kakuhihewa
4. KINGDOM OF KAUAI: Island of Kauai; Other references: Moku o Manukalanipo

• Insight: In the Legal context, the term KINGDOM OF HAWAII has been used by the State of Hawaii in its statutes and codes as a reference to itself or origins. This term did not appear in Hawaiian Kingdom law until the late 1880's when men of business and corporate influences from America were already taking positions within the government dealing in various commodities such as, beef, coffee and sugar to export to America at a profit.

A WORD REGARDING "SOVEREIGNTY GROUPS":
"Sovereignty Group" is a term used commonly to refer to the various groups or self proclaimed Monarchs or Regents with a following formed in or around the 1990's in these Hawaiian Islands, especially after 1993, the 100 year anniversary of the Overthrow of Queen Liliuokalani. They include names like Ka Lahui, Lawful Hawaiian Government (LHG), Kingdom of Atooi, King Edmund Silva, Nation of Hawaii, etc.

The Attorney General's Office of the Kingdom of the Hawaiian Islands (at 157 Mamo Street, Hilo) is NOT a party of ANY "sovereignty group". Instead, it consists of of several Agencies of the Hawaiian Islands Government which began in 1843. The Attorney General's Office perspective on the various groups and self proclaimed Monarchs or Regents is that they are like various Political parties within the Hawaiian Kingdom that consists of Hawaiian people with their agendas.

There is NO LACK OF UNITY between all groups and self proclaimed individuals that the American US Miilitary is UNWELCOME in our Country. And there is NO LACK OF UNITY between all groups and self proclaimed individuals that the State of Hawaii has no physical lands received from any organic documents created by the Provisional Government, the Republic of Hawaii, or the Territory of Hawaii. The descendants of those born in the Hawaiian Kingdom from time immemorial are UNIFIED solid on these two points. Kanaka Maoli descendants are UNIFIED in that all lands of the Hawaiian Islands are allodial in Title, belonging to the families named on them during the Mahele 1846-1848, same as in England, UK.

Lastly, the Internal Affairs of the country, Kingdom of the Hawaiian Islands, are the kuleana, right and privilege to perform of the Chiefs and People born of the Kingdom of the Hawaiian Islands. At this time and space, it is NOT above the law established in these Hawaiian Islands for Kanaka Maoli to take control of our country's laws and resources to provide a pathway for the Official Reopening of the Hawaiian Islands Government.

• Insight: Although the Hawaiian Islands are considered unified in the Political sense, each island continues to maintain its own cultural history, practices and norms. In this way when Hawaiians from one island are visiting another, those visiting are expected to defer to that island's people, in a show of respect to the knowledge, cultural practices and norms of that place.
